Feathers in my Yard

watercolor feather painting

Yep, I'm painting feathers now! I've been loving the feather trend for a while, so why not?  They're so fun to paint with watercolors!

I just happened to find both of these feathers in my yard (on separate days), pretty lucky huh?!  The rooster feather is gorgeous and I have no idea how it found it's way to me, but I'm glad it did :)

  8. These are so pretty. I saw this on nap-time creations link party. My daughter loves feathers, and wants to keep ALL of them. She also loves to draw, she's almost 7. She made a beautiful drawing the other day by tracing the feather and coloring it in with pencil. She and I were wondering if you just painted these by looking at them or did you dip in paint and then imprint them on the paper and fill in? Very curious. Thanks for sharing!

  9. Thanks Gina! That's awesome that your daughter loves to draw! I made a drawing of the feathers by looking at them first and then painted them. I never thought of printing with feathers.... sounds like a cool idea!
