Be Brave and Wonder

Be Brave watercolor lettering artwork: growcreative

These two sayings go hand in hand.  I didn't think of that until after I created these pieces, but it's true.  Doesn't it take a little bit of bravery to let yourself wonder and marvel at the beautiful amazing things in this world?  Are we afraid that we'll be disappointed or let down?  Afraid that we'll lose something?  I have been there.

As a mother who can bear no more children of my own, I'm sometimes afraid to let myself wonder what my life would be like if one day we could adopt. I'm afraid to let myself wonder at the possibility.  I'm afraid of it not happening, so I don't let myself hope for that.  I guess my next watercolor lettering piece should be hope!

  1. I enjoy your blog posts very much. I save them in a special email file to look back at times Robert T. Plumb was the father of one of my friends and my friend has explained to me the skill required to paint with watercolors. Keep up the wonderful paintings and sharing your creativity,

  2. Lovely watercolours. I can relate to your thoughts about adoption etc. My circumstances are very different too yours but for health reasons I shouldn't have any more children despite always imagining a big family. Thinking about what its is painful. Be kind to yourself x

    1. Thanks for your kind words Jenna. It is painful to think about sometimes, but I feel like I need to let myself dream a little and hope for the possibilities :)
