Peach Fire Flowers Paintings

Sometimes the paintings just flow from me, like a steady stream of joy and peace. Those are the best painting sessions. I come away feeling like I've done some sort of metal yoga.  I feel centered and happy.

One rainy evening a few weeks ago, I got out my paints. It had been a hard, emotional day for me. I've been dealing with more back pain after I thought I had finally resolved it. It was getting to me that day and I needed a way to let those sad, discouraged feelings go.  So painting for me at that moment, was just what I needed.

I didn't look at pictures of flowers for reference.  I just painted what I felt and this is what happened. It was one of those magical painting moments where the inspiration flowed freely. I wish it could be like that all the time!

I painted three 9x12 "Fire Flower" watercolor paintings and one 8x10 flower and fern painting. I was really feeling the blues and oranges, corals, and peach colors. They so delicately compliment each other.  I can't get enough of those colors!

Each of these paintings are for sale in my Etsy Shop.

  1. These would be beautiful painted directly on an entire wall! Such soft, comforting colors.
    Peace.
